The word Milagros means Miracle. Traditionally milagros are given to saints to ask for a miracle and commonly nailed to the lintel of a door in the home.
The parts of the body are most commonly used for miracles, asking for the eyes, arms, legs etc to get better. In the churches and Cathedrals you will find saints robes covered in tiny versions of these! These milagros have been made by the artisans in Oaxaca.
Handmade from tin. All sizes vary, on average approx 10cm.
