Handwoven cotton rugs resist dyed with natural indigo. These fade beautifully with time and wear like denim. The back of the rug is plain indigo.

Washable at 30 degrees,dry naturally.
Indigo dye way rub off onto skin and surfaces,it will wash out as it is notoriously difficult to fix, but we would advise not to put it onto a cream carpet!
The indigo will give out less as it is washed and used.
