Tin toys
Every tin treasure starts life as a flat piece of metal which is printed on and cut into separate shapes. Pieces are then hand-assembled to create the finished toy.
Being a very labour-intensive purpose, tin toy production was quickly abandoned when plastic moulding was developed leaving only a handful of factories that still produce then.
Today, people from around the world seek tin toys as collectors or merely to cherish the memories of their childhood.
These are collector and nostalgia items not suitable as children's toys.
