Very much in the same vein as milagros these are devotional offerings for various occasions and events in life! I first found these in Peru, at a fantastic folkart collectors house! The couple inparticular are given when you are wed, all the pieces around the edge are broken off and buried at the threshold of the house while what remains within hangs inside the house!
