Typically used in homes across India, this plate rack can be used as it is tradionally in India as a drainer, should you be able to fit over a sink/draining board.
Mostly these units are used to pile high all of your kitchen favourites and get to see them always, unlike storing things in cupboards!
These are supplied flat packed with simple nut and bolt fixings. In India these are hand (and feet) made mainly, in the streets in Delhi, the process is low fi, involving bending and forming each component mostly without machinery. Due to this there are often sharp edges and sometimes a little manipulation is required to get the desired effect. These pieces are by no means perfect, however this is all part of their charm!
Flat pack.,takes a little time to put together, but absolutely worth it!!
They are however robust, mine has has been going for years holding ceramic, enamel and glass!!!
